However, a word of warning. As the recent child grooming scandal shows where hundreds of Manchester children were systematically raped and abused (see recent questions on clear gaps and lies in senior MCC and Leese knowledge - "“A small number of councillors are said to be seeking Sir Richard’s resignation, with one saying: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/tensions-simmer-manchester-town-hall-17647695 it is hard to trust the PR spin by this toxic leader, who damages Manchester in many levels and where recently a four-part series featured on his failure for honesty and to engage with community groups.
We wish Hatch and LGBTQ Manchester good luck, because even with the best intentions and unless people make enough fuss and pressure, this dire long term leadership could be making another cynical strike of failures because of how much this petition embarrassed them?
Until there is a new honest leadership, we fear it will be an uphill struggle so place defend what you love and ensure you engage with your ideas and visions, not their destructive selling short.
