We are the undersigned, individuals and organizations from all over the world, call on the International Community, Human Rights Organizations, UN Security Council and Counter Terrorism Bodies to take urgent steps to classify Hikmat ALHajiri gangs and militia as a terrorist organization responsible for committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and forceful displacement targeting the tribal bedouin citizens of Sweida governorate in Syria

Facts and Details:

For 7 months, ALHajiri militia which includes Assad's defunct regime linked members continues to refuse to reach an agreement with Damascus government and continues to Perpetuate extrajudicial processes which includes: kidnaps, crimes promotion, drug manufacturing mainly captagon to finance their activities.
On Thursday, 17 july 2025, after the withdrawal of Syrian government military and security forces upon international consensus, Hajiri gangs escalated their crimes, carrying out systematic ethnic cleansing and sectarian executions crimes targeting the tribal bedouin citizens of Sweida in a scene that brings to mind the most horrendous crimes committed in modern history.
Independent media outlets documented horrendous massacres against children, women and men including: slaughtering civilians, beheading children, kidnaping of women and elderly, mutilation of bodies, forceful displacement intended to cause a demographic change in the region. the videos and images evidence proves what happened in the eyes of the world without any respect for international law.

We call for:

1- Classifying of Hikmat Alhajiri militia as a terrorist organization according to the international law

2- Establishing an independent international investigation under the supervision of the united nations for the committed crimes

3- Holding Hajiri militia leader accountable alongside everyone who provided them with financial, logistic and media support.

4- Initiate taking the appropriate measures that secures the civilians in Sweida and the nearby areas from the brutality of these gangs.

The world silence on this is a dangerous precedent that threatens the peace and safety of the region and a stain on the conscience on the international committee which has long pledged for protection of civilians and to prevent the recurrence of such human massacres.
