We are over 4,000, this is beyond amazing!!!! We are showing verifiable strength in our unity and resolve to stand up to those who have brought us to this moment.
However, the truth is we are only closer to this being a reality in our air, lungs, bodies. We only have 6 days left before this facility is operational with Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s (BAAQMD) permit. And make no mistake about it, if this permit is issued, Resynergi will start operating and we will start breathing in their emissions. BAAQMD’s job is to keep the facilities they permit operating (under their permit conditions). This is how it works for industry and not for the folks who will breathe in the industry. This is our time.

First-
Credo High School’s School Board voted last night to officially petition the Bay Area Air Quality Control District for an extension of Resynergi’s public comment period. For the Credo High School's community who is less than 1,000 feet from the exhausting of this plastic pyrolysis facility, this is a great step in the direction of replacing the facility’s greenwashing soundbites with the time needed to present the real truth about this kind of operation and their resulting emissions.
Second-
Rohnert Park City Council is holding a council meeting today, 4:00 start but only for special “labor negotiations” items/comments. Then council will have closed session. Then council meeting is back open at 5:00.
Public comment will be open at 5:00 for addressing the council. There are comment cards that are to be filled out for those wishing to speak, 3 minute max per person, 30 minutes max for whole general public comment time. There will be folks going to voice their opposition to this project and oppose RP council’s pass-through of this project that has resulted in us all having just 6 days left to voice our concerns in the only forum we were given- BAAQMD’s public comment period. Let’s attend RP council meeting today at 5:00.
