Demanding Investigation into PEPCO's huge increase in monthly electric bills in PG County

The Issue

PEPCO's monthly electricity bills in Prince George's County, Maryland (PG County) have tripled and are costing residents thousands of dollars, while surrounding areas like Charles County, Montgomery County and Woodbridge, VA, are not experiencing these exorbitant costs. Recently my co-worker and I compared our monthly bills and kilowatt usage and were astonished to see the FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR difference!! Her usage was 4,430 kilowatts and her bill is $299.00, whereas, my usage was 3,297 kilowatts and, yet my bill was over SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS using 1,000 LESS kilowatt. PG County residents simply cannot afford to pay these enormous bills, especially those on a  fixed income! My 86-year old aunt resides in Temple's Hills and her bill was more than  NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS for ONE month which is unacceptable!!! We can keep complaining about it or take some kind of action. Signing this petition to demand accountability and a commitment to fair treatment for all residents of PG County is a great way to start!!!
