The Issue

Like many others, I have been deeply concerned and distressed by the influence of the "Tiffany Thinks" YouTube channel. The channel, run by a woman named Tiffany, is creating false narratives around her cancer journey, misleading over a hundred thousand subscribers in the process. Tiffany's inconsistency and obvious lies about her condition are not only manipulative but extremely harmful.

The channel profits from the sale of branded merchandise with the phrase "we got this," exploiting the hope and resilience of cancer patients and their loved ones seeking support and solidarity. Furthermore, Tiffany's reckless portrayal of cancer treatment endangers her followers who look to her as a role model, making her a looming threat to the cancer community. An alarming number of people, include my own loved ones, have started emulating her negligent behavior, which is detrimental to their health.

Pivotal to this manipulation is the use of the word “cancer” in tags to attract a vulnerable audience, people battling the illness and their supportive networks, only to mislead them with incorrect information and dangerous practices.

If left unchecked, Tiffany's influence could potentially escalate into a widespread health crisis, affecting thousands of people dealing with a disease that already burdens them enough.

In the interest of public health and the welfare of the cancer community, it is crucial that YouTube takes accountability by removing the “Tiffany Thinks” Channel. Let's take a stand against the exploitation and misinformation of cancer patients. Please sign this petition and encourage others to do so in order to protect our loved ones from further endangerment.
