Demand Williamson County Homebuilders Drop Their Lawsuit Against Williamson County

In 2017 Williamson County implemented an Educational Impact Fee which was the result of over a year of committee meetings which were all open to the public and a series of public hearings were held where our consulting firm presented the details of the fee, and the members of the homebuilders association were all invited to these meetings. At no time during this process were any objections raised by the local homebuilders association, however; 6 months after the resolution was passed 8 homebuilders chose to file a lawsuit against the county.
Williamson County Schools create a significant financial benefit to Williamson County Home Builders. They recognize the value of our schools to new residents and use them to market their new homes. The impact fee is simply a way for the county to collect new revenue from the source that is creating the pressing need for more capital expenditures and reducing the tax burden on existing residents.
We the undersigned ask the following home builders to immediately drop their lawsuit against Williamson County
- Drees Premier Homes
- Ole South Properties Inc.
- Regent Homes Inc.
- Aspen Construction LLC
- Barlow Builders
- The Jones Company of TN
- Ridgemont Homes
- Gateway Mosby of Cool Springs
