Demand Urgent Housing Action Following Serious Assault Allegations

We, the undersigned residents and members of the local community, are calling on Atrium Homes to urgently investigate the serious allegations surrounding an assault involving tenants Mark Barcley and Kayleigh Clark, following reports that their neighbour was left in hospital with serious injuries, including a bleed on the brain and fractured ribs.

This is not simply a disagreement between neighbours. The alleged injuries are extremely serious and have understandably caused fear, distress and concern within the local community.

We are asking Atrium Homes to take these concerns seriously and to carry out an urgent review of the tenancy and any relevant evidence available to them, including information from Police Scotland and other appropriate agencies.

We are calling on Atrium Homes to:

Urgently investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported incident.
Liaise with Police Scotland and relevant agencies where appropriate.
Consider whether the behaviour alleged constitutes a serious breach of tenancy conditions or antisocial behaviour.
Take appropriate tenancy enforcement action if breaches are established.
Consider the safety and wellbeing of the injured neighbour and other residents affected.
Keep the local community informed, where legally possible, that appropriate action is being taken.
Residents should be able to feel safe in their own homes without fear of serious violence or intimidation.

We fully understand that Atrium Homes must follow the correct legal and tenancy procedures and that allegations must be properly investigated. However, we believe the seriousness of the reported injuries warrants urgent attention and action.

This petition is not about demanding that anyone is punished without due process. It is about demanding that serious allegations are not ignored, that residents are protected, and that Atrium Homes uses every appropriate power available to it if tenancy or antisocial behaviour breaches are established.

We ask Atrium Homes to listen to the concerns of the community and act.

Enough is enough. Residents deserve to feel safe in their own homes.
