When I talk to people about the conditions in the back of UPS trucks, I often hear, “but you’d never leave your dog in a hot car!” Of course you wouldn’t. So why is it OK to stick these men and women in a 160 degree cargo hold, on and off for an 8+ hour day?
The team at Change helped make a video to prove this point. Click here to share the video on Facebook, and here to retweet.
No dogs were harmed in the making of this video. In fact, I’m told it earned him a lot of treats :)
It may be October 2, but the heat in many cities hasn’t let up. Today it will be 90 degrees in New York City, 95 in Washington D.C., 93 in Houston and 97 in Charlotte. UPS is counting on people like you to forget about this campaign as the season changes. But we have to show them that risking their employees’ lives isn’t something we’ll forget about.
Please help me keep up the momentum by resharing this video on Facebook and on Twitter.
