Demand updated medical education on pineal gland cysts

The Issue

My life has been overshadowed by the persistent health issues caused by a pineal cyst. For years, I've endured insomnia, migraines, vision problems, and cognitive decline, among other symptoms. These challenges have stolen my passions like drawing and dancing, and hindered my career. Even worse, I've been medically gaslighted, with doctors dismissing the connection between my symptoms and the pineal gland cyst. It's heartbreaking to find only two understanding doctors, neither of whom accept Medicaid out-of-state.

I am not alone in this struggle. Many others battle similar health challenges due to pineal gland cysts or tumors. Their symptoms—ranging from coordination troubles, slurred speech, memory problems, leg weakness, nausea, extreme fatigue, aura migraines, seizures, ear problems, to severe head pain and dizziness—are often dismissed due to outdated medical teachings. The current education on this topic in medical schools and among practitioners does not reflect the latest science, studies, and tests indicating that pineal cysts can indeed cause these debilitating symptoms.

It's time for a change. We need medical schools to update their curriculums, and for radiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, primary care physicians, and emergency room doctors to be informed with cutting-edge research regarding the impact of pineal gland cysts and tumors. This education is crucial for the health and well-being of countless individuals who suffer in silence and uncertainty.

There are also problems with many radiologists of not even reporting them in mri, ct scans. This causes more issues with doctors denying the problem too. Many surgeons are not even trained to do this surgery and continue to dismiss people’s symptoms and say the cyst is small when even 5mm cyst can cause symptoms. Many people end up suicidal from the gaslighting, lack of support and medical care.

My cyst was measured at 9mm and I was told by over 5 doctors that it’s not the cause of my health issues. One day Im dancing, doing yoga and the next few months I can’t walk straight, I’m blacking out, vomiting, having horrible migraines, losing my vision, pulsating tinnitus, and feeling like I suddenly have mood disorder. I have had no help what so ever from any doctor.

By acknowledging the medical studies that show pineal gland issues can cause severe symptoms, we can push for more effective diagnosis and treatment options. Such changes could transform lives like mine, restoring our ability to pursue passions and lead fulfilling lives.

Join me in urging medical institutions and professionals to revise their understanding and teaching about pineal gland cysts. Sign this petition to demand essential updates in medical education and practice, which can make a profound difference in the lives of many sufferers.
