ADHD is a form of neurodivergence that can have a serious impact on a person's ability to engage with day to day demands. Be cause of this, many of us take medication to help us meet those demands as easily as possible.

ADHD medication is known to reduce the risk of serious negative outcomes for ADHD people such as substance use issues and criminality, and mental health issues, as well as improving overall focus and making it easier to engage with employment and other beneficial areas of life.

Despite this, we are currently in a national crisis where ADHD medication is in severe shortage. Many of us are having to ration our medication, frequently change medications, or go without medication at all. Given the strong protective factor that medication serves, it is clear that this national shortage presents a significant risk to an already under-privileged group.

We need our new Labour government to commit to solving this issue, to ensure that ADHD medication is available to everyone that needs it in a timely manner. We are asking people to sign and share this petition in order to ask our government to commit to doing the work required to negate this issue.
