There is a video circulating social media which can be seen here https://t.co/ocG8vTLFUh in which a young girl allegedly 14 years of age is being forcefully pushed into a car by a gang of men whilst wailing. What is happening here is a kind of forced marriage practised in certain areas in Uganda where a man rather than taking the decent route to marriage decides to kidnap a girl to marry, after kidnapping the girl, he proceeds to rape her until she becomes pregnant at which point her family is unlikely to take her back. Whilst watching this video, you can hear the desperation and fear in the girl's screams as she knows the fate that awaits her, her whole life, her dreams and aspirations about to be destroyed forever. You can hear her anguish as she realises she was betrayed by the woman sitting on the boda, (allegedly her aunt) who connived with the men to entrap her. Fellow Ugandans, fellow human beings, let us not just watch this video, comment about how tragic it is and move on, let us fight for this girl as we would want someone to fight for our loved one, for our daughter, for our us. Sign this petition and you will be doing just that.  Signing this will ensure the police do not rest until this girl is rescued and those men arrested as they will know the people of Uganda stand with her.
