Demand Uber Eats to Investigate Disputed Orders & Refund Our Money That They Got Rich With

The Issue

When I finally decided to add up every missing item I was told that my order wasn't eligible for a refund without first trying to call the driver or the restaurant I was appalled to say the least that I've personally been robbed of over $300 by Uber Eats due to missing items that I never received and was refused a refund for. Sadly, this isn't just my story—many more Americans have faced the same issue. Uber Eats are essentially becoming multi-million dollar enterprises by exploiting customers through such practices. It's time we held them accountable for breaking their contractual obligations with consumers by not properly investigating before applying their very ignorant, what I call their  "no-refund policy." Because no matter who you speak to at Uber Eats,  they all say the same, very rehearsed "Confirmed Decision"!!

When you order through the Uber Eats app, you're promised certain items. However, there are countless instances where either the restaurant or delivery driver fails to deliver the full order. When you reach out for support, Uber Eats immediately denies the refund without even conducting an investigation or verification with the restaurant. They simply claim the order isn't eligible for a refund, leaving customers at a dead end. Upon contacting the restaurant, you're drawn into a loop where they refuse to rectify the order, urging you to coordinate with Uber Eats, the platform you ordered from. This creates a frustrating cycle that benefits only the company, not the consumer.

This lack of accountability leaves many of us feeling scammed, literally left under-delivered. In a market where customer trust and satisfaction should be paramount, such disregard for consumer rights cannot continue unchallenged. It's only fair that all claims are thoroughly investigated and resolved fairly.

Here are steps we propose:
1. Uber Eats should thoroughly investigate all reported disputes by verifying with both the restaurant and the delivery driver.
2. Implement a clear and transparent refund policy, where consumers can see the steps and criteria for eligibility.
3. Train customer support teams better so they can effectively address and resolve issues without discouraging feedback with immediate denial responses.

4. They need to be held accountable and ordered to provide full refunds for every past order with reported missing, damaged or inedible items that they have refused to give refunds for and quite frankly, the money they have very boldly ripped us off for!

We deserve better treatment and transparency from a service that we mainly rely on for our everyday meals.

Sign this petition to demand fairness and accountability from Uber Eats regarding their "no refund policy".
