Demand Transparency on E85 and E100 Ethanol Fuel: Publish Independent Engine Test Reports Before Nationwide Adoption
Petition to Automobile Manufacturers, Government Authorities, Fuel Companies, and Automotive Regulators
As governments and automobile manufacturers increasingly promote E85 and E100 ethanol fuels as cleaner alternatives to conventional petrol, millions of vehicle owners deserve access to the scientific and engineering evidence supporting these claims.

Before higher ethanol fuels become widely adopted, all stakeholders should disclose independent test data demonstrating their long-term safety, performance, and economic impact on vehicles.

We call upon all automobile manufacturers and relevant authorities to publicly disclose the following:

1. Independent International Laboratory Reports
Publish complete engine testing reports conducted by internationally recognized laboratories, including German automotive testing organizations, universities, certification agencies, or accredited engine research facilities.

These reports should include:

Long-term durability testing
Engine wear analysis
Fuel system compatibility
Corrosion studies
Injector and fuel pump performance
Material degradation assessments
Cold-start testing
Long-distance endurance testing (50,000 km, 100,000 km, or more)

2. German Engineering Validation
If E85 and E100 fuels have been evaluated by German automotive laboratories or certification bodies, publish:

Laboratory names
Testing standards used
Validation procedures
Final engineering conclusions
Certification reports, where available
3. Fuel Economy and Mileage Data
Consumers have a right to know how ethanol blends affect fuel consumption.

Publish independently verified comparisons for:

Petrol (E0/E10)
E20
E85
E100
including:

Kilometres per litre (km/L)
Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC)
Thermal efficiency
Power and torque output
Real-world driving fuel economy
4. Warranty Transparency
Manufacturers should clearly disclose:

Whether the use of E85 or E100 affects warranty coverage
Which engine or fuel-system components may experience increased wear
Any additional maintenance requirements
Engineering evidence supporting any warranty exclusions
5. Long-Term Durability Evidence
Publish engineering data regarding the effects of ethanol fuels on:

Fuel pumps
Injectors
Rubber seals and hoses
Fuel tanks
Valves and valve seats
Pistons and piston rings
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
Engine oil life
6. Environmental Claims
If higher ethanol blends are promoted as environmentally beneficial, the supporting evidence should be publicly available.

Publish:

Lifecycle emissions studies
Tailpipe emission test results
Independent environmental assessments
Standardized certification data
Why This Matters
Consumers invest significant amounts in purchasing and maintaining their vehicles. They deserve access to complete, independently verified technical information before making decisions about fuel choices.

Transparency builds trust. Independent evidence enables informed decisions by consumers, engineers, policymakers, and researchers.

Our Request
We respectfully urge automobile manufacturers, fuel suppliers, regulators, and policymakers to publish all available independent engineering reports, laboratory studies, durability evaluations, and warranty-related technical data concerning E85 and E100 fuels.

Public policy and consumer decisions should be guided by transparent scientific evidence and independently verified engineering data.

Sign this petition to support greater transparency, informed consumer choice, and evidence-based decision-making regarding the future use of ethanol fuels.
