The youth and constituents of the Natchez Trace Council urge our Council Board to halt any pending or potential sales of Camp Yocona and Camp Seminole. Summer Camp and the Order of the Arrow at Yocona is the heart of our Scouting community, and decisions regarding its future directly impact  hundreds of youth and volunteers.

We recognize the financial challenges facing our council, but selling foundational assets without open dialogue is not the answer. We respectfully ask the Board to:

1. Pause all sale negotiations concerning Camp Yocona and Camp Seminole.
2. Form a joint committee of board members, adult leaders, and youth representatives to explore alternative fundraising and sustainability strategies
3. Formally acknowledge that board decisions must prioritize the interests, voice, and development of the youth membership above all else.
