For too long, the people of Mays Landing have been forced to stay silent about the serious issues affecting our community — neglect, bullying, censorship, and the lack of accountability from those in power. Students have been ignored when they’ve spoken out about harassment or mistreatment. Victims have been silenced instead of protected. Those who try to tell the truth are often censored — especially online — under the excuse of “breaking the rules,” while harmful behavior goes unchecked.

I have hesitated making this petition because I was (and still am) terrified of speaking up in fear of retaliation, not just from the higher-ups, but also from residents.

I have compiled a Google Drive folder full of evidence. I had to make a second folder because my storage on the first account is full. More evidence to be added. 

Due to privacy and safety concerns, supporting evidence will only be shared with trusted sources upon request. 

This petition calls for:

• Transparency from local schools and institutions about how they handle reports of misconduct and bullying.

• Independent investigations into recurring complaints of negligence or discrimination.

• Accountability from administrators, teachers, and officials who fail to uphold safety and fairness.

• Freedom of speech for community members exposing real issues without fear of retaliation or censorship.

I believe that every resident — especially students — deserves to live in a community that protects, respects, and listens to them.
