The Issue

I, like so many others, initially downloaded the Township game with an expectation of enjoying a peaceful and engaging town/farm simulator game. But, to our disillusionment, the game has veered off course and become something completely different. Township is now incorporating mandatory "match 3" game features into the gameplay, drastically altering the experience we loved and expected.

We are not, as users, against the evolution and development of games. But when change comes at the cost of the original intention and deviates significantly from what users have initially signed up for, the developers need to be held accountable. There are countless dedicated "match 3" games out there, serving their purpose perfectly well. However, Township isn't — or at least, it wasn't supposed to be — one of them. The choice represents a significant divergence from the game's initial promise.

Moreover, the decision to remove the "Golden Ticket," a beloved feature, further detracted from the charm and appeal that originally hooked us onto Township in the first place. This shift in gameplay feels more like a betrayal, not a mere change.

Therefore, with this petition, we demand that Township Game respects its user base, by stopping the unnecessary imposition of the "match 3" games and returning our beloved Golden Ticket. As a community, we believe that our voice has power, and we stand together in this plea. Sign this petition and let's stand together against gaming industry practices that overlook their loyal user base.

*Update: Overwhelming Community Backlash Against Township's Recent Changes*

Since sharing this petition, the response has been overwhelming. The vast majority of players, even those who enjoy Match 3, are expressing their discontent with the recent changes to Township.

Countless players feel that Playrix, the game's developers, are prioritizing profits over player satisfaction. Many are questioning whether their voices are being heard and if their investment of time, effort, and money is valued.

The mandatory Match 3 feature and the Fashion Pass have been met with widespread criticism. Even players who enjoy Match 3 are expressing their dissatisfaction with the Fashion Pass.

The community is rallying together, with many players stating that they will no longer spend money on the game due to the developers' perceived greed. Long-time players, some of whom have played for over a decade, are passionately considering leaving the game.

We urge Playrix to listen to the concerns of their dedicated player base and reconsider the recent changes to Township.

*Key Demands:*

1. Remove the mandatory Match 3 feature.
2. Reconsider the Fashion Pass and its implementation.
3. Bring back the “Golden Ticket”
4. If the developers really want to run the fashion pass, at least offer both for us to choose from. Then they will see what the customers/ dedicated players want if they even care!
I am just a fellow player who started January 8, 2025, fellow players have said that I care more than the developers about them and what they want!

*Join us in calling for change and showing Playrix that we value our gaming experience.*
