The Issue

I'm a Class 9 student, deeply concerned about the late availability of CBSE textbooks each year, and it's becoming unbearable. CBSE announced that textbooks would be released in March, yet here we are, still waiting for them in May, June, and even July. With half-yearly exams looming in September or October, it becomes almost impossible for us students to cover the entire syllabus in just 1-2 months. And this isn't a one-time occurrence. The same delay happened when I was in Class 8. Looking ahead to Class 10, I worry it will get worse, especially with board exams to prepare for. How are we expected to manage? We're students, not machines.

Unfortunately, this issue affects not just me but thousands of students across India. A delay in textbooks means we have less time to learn, understand, and excel in our studies. It adds undue stress and impacts our ability to perform well academically. This systemic problem needs urgent attention and rectification.

To resolve this, we urge CBSE to establish a more reliable and efficient system for the timely distribution of textbooks. Early availability in March, as initially promised, would allow us ample time to digest the content thoroughly. Additionally, incorporating digital versions of textbooks could further mitigate these issues, ensuring students have access to vital learning resources irrespective of logistic delays.

Let us come together to make the voices of students heard. A change in the distribution timeline could significantly enhance our learning experience and reduce the overwhelming pressure we face. Please sign this petition to urge CBSE to follow through with their commitments and aid students like me in achieving better educational outcomes.
