We are deeply troubled by the constant lack of responsibility to the urban community shown by Thea Mitchem, Executive Vice President of Programming at iHeart Media. Despite multiple allegations of unethical actions from employees (under her watch), and most recently at The Breakfast Club, there has been no accountability to address these issues by the 20-year radio vet. In addition, Mitchem, who has excelled up the corporate ladder at a rapid pace, shows no empathy for rape victims, degrading of black women, gang promotion, and or Ponzi schemes -- just to name a few. 

iHeartMedia is a leading global media and entertainment company specializing in radio, digital, outdoor, mobile and social platforms (source: Nielsen Audio). It is therefore crucial that those in positions of power within this organization uphold ethical standards and prioritize their audience's well-being. However, under Mitchem's leadership at the Northeast Division, this does not seem to be happening.

We believe it is time for change. We demand that Thea Mitchem step down now from her position at iHeartMedia due to her constant failure in addressing these serious allegations appropriately.
