On Saturday June 24th, The Northwest Pro-Life Conference (NWPLC) will be held on the UW Tacoma campus. The NWPLC is part of a national network of advocacy groups seeking to limit women's access to reproductive healthcare and eliminate abortion access. This event will gather individuals and organizations across the Northwest who, according to their own website, are determined to "persevere until abortion is no more." 

By providing a space for this conference, UWT risks being perceived as implicitly endorsing its politics. This petition is a call for UWT administration to make clear that they do not endorse this event and to address student concerns over existing campus event policies.

We the undersigned request that the university:

· Issues a statement to the campus community that the upcoming NWPLC event is not endorsed by UW Tacoma

· Commits to a policy of providing readily accessible information about all upcoming campus events

· Explores a policy establishing that all campus events must be officially sponsored by members of the campus community
