As a mother, my heart shatters every time I witness the horrifying scenes of bombings in Gaza on live television. The destruction of hospitals and schools makes me wonder how I would react if my child was living in such terrifying conditions. This is not just about politics; it's about humanity.

The genocidal massacre happening in Gaza must be stopped immediately. We call upon the United States to uphold the Geneva Convention by demanding a ceasefire from Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu and his cabinet should be held accountable for their actions, as they have committed severe human rights violations and war crimes.

Furthermore, we urge the U.S. government to reconsider its financial support towards Israel which amounts to approximately 3 billion dollars annually (Congressional Research Service, 2020). This funding contributes significantly to military weapons that are used against innocent civilians in Gaza.

The U.S. also funds Israel's IRON DOME - an air defense system used by Israel - which further intensifies this conflict. Taxpayer money mustn't be wasted on fueling violence but instead redirected towards peaceful endeavors.
