The Issue

Marshall BioResources has long been a leading supplier of beagles and other animals for laboratory research. These animals endure lives of confinement, breeding, and experimentation, deprived of the freedom, love, and care that every living creature deserves. As public awareness of animal welfare continues to grow, it is time to address the suffering perpetuated by the commercial breeding of animals for research purposes.

Our primary demand is the permanent closure of Marshall BioResources, the immediate cessation of all animal testing and experimentation involving animals bred, housed, or supplied by the company, and the end of all breeding activities conducted by Marshall BioResources. For decades, Marshall BioResources has supplied beagles and other animals to laboratories and research facilities, contributing to a system that subjects animals to testing, experimentation, and lifelong confinement. We believe it is time to transition to more humane and innovative scientific methods that do not require animal suffering. Modern alternatives such as in vitro testing, computer modeling, and other advanced research technologies continue to demonstrate that scientific progress can be achieved without breeding animals for laboratory use. No animal should be bred for the purpose of being sold into a life of laboratory testing and experimentation.

Additionally, we call for the immediate release of all beagles and other animals currently held by Marshall BioResources. These innocent creatures deserve a second chance at life in a loving environment. We urge authorities to facilitate their placement into qualified rescues, sanctuaries, foster programs, or adoptive homes where they can thrive and experience the care and compassion they have been denied.

Furthermore, we demand the revocation of all licenses, permits, and authorizations that currently allow Marshall BioResources to breed, house, sell, distribute, or supply animals for research purposes. Strong oversight and accountability are necessary to prevent the continued exploitation of animals and to ensure that future generations of animals are not subjected to the same fate.

It is essential to understand that this is not only an animal welfare issue but a societal one. Public concern regarding the use of animals in testing and research continues to grow, and many people are calling for greater investment in humane alternatives. By supporting ethical research methods and ending the commercial breeding and supply of animals for laboratories, we can help create a future where scientific advancement no longer comes at the expense of innocent lives.

Join us in this vital campaign to end the breeding, sale, testing, and exploitation of animals by Marshall BioResources. Sign this petition and stand with us in calling for an end to animal testing involving Marshall BioResources, the closure of its operations, the release of its animals, the revocation of its licenses, and a more humane future for all animals.
