I reflect on a time when as a global business developer, LinkedIn was a necessary and reliable tool that I used daily for my work. My relationship with them was severed when without any valid reason, they closed my account thrice, violating our final agreement. The height of it all, they almost closed the account of my CEO, a scenario that brings a shiver to anyone relying heavily on such a platform. This is not just absurd and unethical, but a clear testament that too much power has been vested in their hands.

Today, I stand not just for me, but for so many others who have suffered similar experiences. LinkedIn, once known as the sanctuary for professionals, has become a platform noted for providing the worst customer service ever. They have manipulated career advancements and professional connections, making every professional almost entirely dependent on them.

An even more alarming issue is the indiscriminate closure of foreign accounts without valid reasons. This points to a gross disregard for fairness and an attempt to monopolize professional networks globally. According to an article by The Verge, LinkedIn has been under scrutiny for such unfair practices which infringe on people's rights to fair opportunities and connections (The Verge, 2019).
