Suella Braverman Resignation Request

Democracy and freedom of speech are fundamental to the UK. Without it we are unable to protest, speak out against injustices and challenge the government or hold them to account.
Home Secretary Suella Braverman is a threat to UK democracy. She wants to make pro-Palestinian chants illegal and is demanding that the Met Police classify them as hate speech against Jews. To be clear, speaking out against the genocide happening in Gaza is not hateful towards Jews. Demanding that Israel stops bombing Gaza and murdering innocent Palestinian men, women and children is not anti-semitic. Israel does not speak for all Jews and the attack on innocent lives in Gaza is something that would not be condoned in Judaism. It is all part of the ongoing 75 years of Israeli occupation in Palestine. Palestinians are subjugated by an Israeli apartheid state which actively dehumanises Palestinians, alongside the constant land grabs by Israelis which has resulted in Palestinian families being displaced in their millions.
Braverman is also attacking what little rights and help the UK’s impoverished homeless have. She is calling for charities who provide our homeless communities with tents in cities like London, Manchester etc. to be fined. She has stated that homelessness is a “lifestyle choice”. This shockingly out of touch response to a growing population of homeless under 13 years of a dysfunctional and corrupt Conservative Government is shameful. The fact that this comes from the Home Secretary, a member of the cabinet and a senior member of parliament, is frightening and goes against the core values of what the UK stands for.
In attacking vulnerable groups of people (Palestinians/ UK homeless communities) Braverman has demonstrated that she possesses no humanity or compassion. She is actively trying to erode away our human and political rights, and frankly is a bully.
Please share the petition to ensure we get more signatures than she currently has instagram followers (5,043) - I think it speaks volumes that our Home Secretary has such little support on a major social media platform. With this petition, we will be able to clearly demonstrate how unpleasant and disliked this member of Government is.
