Demand the resignation of RSPCA QLD CEO & Board for upholding toxic workplace bullying

Demand the resignation of RSPCA QLD CEO & Board for upholding toxic workplace bullying
The issue
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
We have gathered significant information through interviews conducted among members of the QLD RSPCA community. This information includes:
Termination of long-serving staff and volunteers who raised concerns about animal welfare,
Numerous claims of unfair dismissal,
Wage theft,
Systemic bullying by senior management, and
Threats of reprisal if any complaints were made public.
Mass redundancies of animal-contact staff in foster care, shelter and veterinary departments, resulting in the organisation losing decades of animal welfare experience.
Allegations of vets being forced to euthanise animals that were deemed treatable.
A 39% increase has been noted in the euthanisation of dogs for 'behavioural issues' since 2021.
Wildlife vets under duress to treat 40 patients per 10-hour shift. Unachievable targets and detrimental to wildlife.
Essential services reduced, or cut altogether, from shelter and wildlife rehabilitation centres.
WHEN DID PROFIT COME BEFORE PURPOSE WITH ANY CHARITY?
IT’S TIME TO MAKE THE PEOPLE AT THE TOP ACCOUNTABLE.
It is worth noting that Annastacia Palaszczuk had already expressed the need for a comprehensive review of RSPCA QLD following calls from senior staff for the CEO and the board to step aside in the best interest of the organisation (Courier Mail, 27/11/21) BUT NOTHING EVENTUATED.
Furthermore, the CEO breached conflict of interest policies by appointing friends to roles within RSPCA, both of whom received bonuses totalling $30,000 before departing the organisation in 2021 (Courier Mail, 14/11/21).
The CEO received $170,000 in bonuses during the COVID-19 pandemic, on top of his $330,000 annual salary, while the organisation received millions in Jobkeeper payments (Courier Mail, 14/11/21).
WHILE NURSES DOING THE HARD YARDS ARE LUCKY TO GET $26 PER HOUR.
In light of these grave concerns, we request government intervention to implement an independent and thorough investigation into the allegations, a full forensic audit, and the termination of the current CEO and all Board members who must be held accountable for the actions that have led to this campaign for justice, a return to good governance and best practice management.
FOR ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
FOR THE WONDERFUL FRONT LINE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS
NO MORE BULLYING. ANIMAL WELFARE BEFORE PROFIT.
