My son, along with an entire PreK class from what used to be Ms.Ferburgs class at Barrick Elementary have suffered in a system where Principal Espinoza has not only failed to protect the students but instead, covered up instances of child abuse. As parents and guardians, we were kept in the dark until our children mustered the courage to speak out. The deceit is not only shocking but disgusting. Espinoza's actions have caused severe emotional distress and trust issues among the young students that will take years to resolve.

Additionally, it has come to our notice that Principal Espinoza has engaged in practices of nepotism, favouring family members in school affairs undermining the principle of fairness, and breaking the trust that parents and community members placed in her.

Research indicates that nepotism in the education system can significantly affect the overall quality of education and create an unmeritocratic environment  Additionally, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children affirms that covering up child abuse has severe long-term psychological effects on children, robbing them of a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Principal Espinoza's actions violate the basic ethics of the education system and warrants serious consequences. As a community, we deserve an administration that is transparent, protective of its students, and committed to providing equal opportunities for all.
