As someone deeply affected by the ongoing conflict in Palestine, I am disheartened by the biased coverage of pro-Palestinian protests in Ontario on Global News radio (640 news). The hosts, Greg Brady and Alex Pierson, have consistently shown unprofessionalism in their reporting. They have not allowed callers to express their views unless they support Israel. This is not only a violation of journalistic ethics but also contributes to the dehumanization of Palestinian people.

The media plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion. When it fails to provide balanced coverage, it perpetuates harmful stereotypes and fosters division among communities. According to Reporters Without Borders' 2021 World Press Freedom Index, Canada ranks 14th out of 180 countries for press freedom - a position that obliges Canadian journalists to uphold high standards of impartiality and fairness.

In this context, we believe that Brady's and Pierson's biased reporting is unacceptable. Their actions are not representative of Canadian values or its commitment to freedom of speech.

We demand their immediate resignation from Global News radio (640 news) as a step towards ensuring fair representation for all voices on airwaves across Ontario.

Palestinian lives matter too. We must ensure our media outlets reflect this truth through unbiased reporting.
