We, the global football community—including fans, players, coaches, and stakeholders—are launching this petition to formally declare a vote of no confidence in FIFA President Gianni Infantino and demand his immediate resignation.

Football must remain politically neutral. The integrity of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been deeply compromised following unprecedented political interference. FIFA leadership actively violated its own binding regulations by lifting the mandatory automatic one-match suspension for USMNT forward Folarin Balogun following his red card. This decision was made solely due to direct political lobbying from a head of state, Donald Trump.

By bypassing established disciplinary protocols, Gianni Infantino has shattered the core principle of sporting fairness. This decision sets a highly dangerous precedent, marking the first time since 1962 that a player received a red card at a World Cup but was allowed to play in the following match. It completely undermines the rule of law within international sports governing bodies and has rightfully drawn sharp condemnation from UEFA and member nations.

Our Demands:
Immediate Resignation: Gianni Infantino must step down as FIFA President for failing to protect the game from external political pressure.
Member Association Action: We urge national football associations to utilize their powers under the FIFA Statutes to call for an Extraordinary Congress and introduce a formal motion for dismissal.
Ethics Committee Investigation: We call on the independent FIFA Ethics Committee to fully investigate this breach of the FIFA Code of Ethics regarding political neutrality and external influence.

Rules must apply equally to every nation, regardless of political power or hosting status. We stand together to protect the integrity of the beautiful game.
