We are calling for the immediate resignation of Cllr. Maria Charlesworth from Bassetlaw District Council following a tragic incident involving her two dangerous dogs, which resulted in the death of Abbey, a beloved family pet. This traumatic event has left Colin and Annette devastated and without an apology or acknowledgment from Cllr. Charlesworth.

Her failure to control her Chinese Fighter Dogs and subsequent lack of remorse is not only distressing but also goes against the Nolan Principles that all public servants should uphold - honesty, integrity, accountability, selflessness, openness, leadership and objectivity.

As residents of Worksop and constituents of Bassetlaw District Council, we feel betrayed by this lack of responsibility shown by our elected official. It is clear that she has lost the trust and confidence required to serve us effectively in her role as councillor.

We believe it is time for change; it's time for accountability; it's time for justice for Abbey. Join us in demanding that Cllr. Maria Charlesworth resigns from her position on Bassetlaw District Council immediately.
