I am a concerned resident of Northamptonshire, deeply affected by the ongoing issues that have plagued our council. The failures of North Northamptonshire Council are not just administrative errors, but they have real-life impacts on us, the residents. It is time for accountability and change at the top.

This has come to light due to the recent issue surrounding the warehouse being built and a 'catalog of failures' admitted by the council following an internal audit.

Our council leader, Cllr Jason Smithers, has overseen these failings without taking adequate steps to rectify them or prevent future occurrences. This lack of action and responsibility is unacceptable in a position that holds so much power over our daily lives.

According to recent reports from local news outlets, there has been an alarming number of complaints regarding public services under his leadership. These include issues with waste management and social care services - critical areas that directly affect our quality of life here in Northamptonshire.

It's clear that under Cllr Smithers' leadership, we are not receiving the level of service we deserve from our council. We need someone who will take responsibility for their actions and work tirelessly to improve conditions for all residents.

We call upon all stakeholders involved - fellow councillors, local MPs and most importantly you - the residents of Northamptonshire - to join us in demanding Cllr Jason Smithers' resignation as NNC Executive Leader. It's time for new leadership; it's time for change; it's time we hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
