I am a resident of Ottery, Cape Town, South Africa and I have personally experienced the neglect from our Ward Councillor William Akim. Despite numerous complaints and requests for assistance from myself and other community members, our voices remain unheard. This is not what we expect from someone in his position who is supposed to serve us.

It's not just me - many in our community share this sentiment. Our concerns are consistently ignored, leaving us feeling frustrated and neglected. We deserve a representative who will listen to us, act on our concerns, and work towards improving our beloved town.

In Ottery alone there are over 20 thousand residents (Statistics South Africa), all of whom deserve better than this lackluster service we're currently receiving. The role of a ward councillor is critical in ensuring that local government functions effectively for its citizens - something that is currently lacking under Akim's leadership.

We demand accountability from those elected to serve us. We ask for your support in calling for the removal of Ward Councillor William Akim due to his negligence towards his duties as a public servant.
