Josh Pinheiro received a $1.8 million payout when he was rehired in February 2023 without a lawsuit being filed and against the legal counsel received by the City of Los Banos.

Reasons, causation, and names regarding this $1.8 million dollar payment to Josh Pinheiro remain redacted from the public record. The citizens are not allowed to know where their tax money is going. Decisions are made behind closed doors with no public input or regard for how it will affect the community.

There has been formal complaints from city employees who worked under Pinheiro, sudden resignations, and early retirements (and to this day, still ongoing) of city department heads, plus the departures of many city employees. 

While we acknowledge Mr. Pinheiro's personal connection to our city, his lack of government experience and unwillingness to learn has led to poor performance as City Manager. We believe that Los Banos deserves better leadership at this critical time.

We, the residents of Los Banos, CA, USA, are calling for the removal of our current City Manager, Josh Pinheiro. Our city deserves a leader who prioritizes community needs and manages resources effectively.

We urge our local government officials to act in the best interest of all residents by removing Mr. Pinheiro from his position as City Manager.
