I represent a dedicated organization in Hagerstown that has been unjustifiably mistreated and held to a different standard compared to others. I have personally forwarded emails to the city proving this uneven treatment, but no one from council nor city administrators have responded to these questions. This is an ongoing problem in Hagerstown, but it's not the only one we're facing.

City Administrator Scott Nicewarner and Mayor Tekesha Martinez have shown persistent dereliction of duty, demonstrating an apparent refusal to assist the citizens of Hagerstown in pressing matters. Issues such as violence, visible drug use in public spaces, gun crime, significant homelessness, and a grand lack of accountability have become prevalent under their tenure. Inquiries about city corruption and the disparate treatment of our citizens go unanswered. Time and again, they shirk responsibility, passing blame onto the county and state units.

We cannot excuse this lack of response to our city's most glaring problems. The people of Hagerstown deserve administrators who are willing to confront these issues head-on, without deflection or denial. We are requesting the removal of City Administrator Scott Nicewarner and Mayor Tekesha Martinez, as a first step towards addressing the numerous concerns that plague our city. Stand with us in our endeavor to hold our civic leaders accountable for their actions – or in this case, non-actions.
