As concerned citizens, we are alarmed by the spread of misinformation through television and social media—especially by FOX News Media. This U.S.-based outlet has played a major role in spreading false information and conspiracy theories, fueling division, distracting from real issues, and undermining trust in democratic institutions.

FOX News is not legally classified as a news organization—it is considered an entertainment channel. In 2023, the network paid a $787 million settlement in a defamation lawsuit for knowingly spreading false claims about the 2020 election. This wasn’t an accident—it was a calculated choice to prioritize political propaganda over truth.

Even back in 2012, a Fairleigh Dickinson University study found that FOX News viewers were less informed than people who didn’t watch any news at all. That trend has only worsened.

Tucker Carlson, once one of the network’s top personalities, recently admitted that FOX News preys on its elderly viewers. This is not just irresponsible—it’s dangerous. Vulnerable audiences are being intentionally misled for profit and political influence.

FOX programming regularly promotes division, conspiracy, and fear—while serving the interests of the ultra-wealthy and powerful. This content puts working families, vulnerable communities, and American democracy itself at risk.

News outlets should inform the public, not manipulate it. FOX News has failed that basic responsibility. It’s time to demand accountability from the media we allow into our homes.
