I am a parent who has been dealing with Arizona's Department of Child Safety (DCS) since 2014. In every case, my parental rights were wrongfully terminated. The case managers provided no assistance, and their supervisors and ombudsman proved to be just as ineffective. They used mental health and an alleged inability to care for my children as excuses for termination - accusations that are entirely false.

I have raised my children single-handedly without any help from outside sources. In a recent case, they removed my son because of false allegations made by an ex-partner out of jealousy over our relationship. Despite proving these allegations to be untrue, the DCS took no notice.

Arizona's DCS is supposed to protect children from harm but in many cases like mine, it seems they are doing more harm than good. According to data from the National Coalition for Child Protection Reform (NCCPR), Arizona has one of the highest rates of child removal in the country – nearly triple the national average.

This is not just about me; this is about all parents who have been unjustly separated from their children due to mismanagement and lackadaisical attitudes within DCS. We need immediate action taken against those responsible for these injustices.

We demand a complete overhaul of Arizona’s Department Of Child Safety along with strict accountability measures put in place to ensure that such wrongful terminations do not happen again in future.
