Teddy was denied appeal in court and the police now claim he will be euthanized within a few weeks.

We are hoping for a miracle but with the current dog law in Norway, Teddy will most likely have to die. A new law will come this spring 2022, but it may be too late for Teddy.
Teddy is a 7kg, friendly dog who’s family adores him and is terrified for him. He has top scores on his behavior tests. He bit a woman when she bent over him and woke him abruptly from a deep sleep. Even that woman does not want Teddy euthanized.
Teddy has been accused of scratching a couple of other people when they scared him. It’s been discovered that he had some dental issues that may have caused this, but it’s also normal for especially a small dogs to respond with a warning if scared.

Because Teddy scratched a few people who scared him many years ago, the police claim he is a dangerous dog. He is not. If he is dangerous, all dogs and cats have the potential to be just as dangerous. This is just not reasonable and acceptable.
This has become a power demonstration from the authorities side as there is no reason to fear that this small friendly dog will hurt anyone again if simple measures will be taken, such as keeping him away from people who don’t treat dogs gently.
