All Dogs Matter
Oct 16, 2021

This week, Luk was scheduled to be euthanized, Thursday October 14, 2:30pm in Norway. His owner, Bjørg Christin Danielsen, was informed by email by the police officer in charge. This officer then went on vacation right after the email was sent, and was not available to handle the case, nor receive complaints. Against all odds, the euthanizing was put on hold when a new lawyer got involved last minute. One minute before the euthanizing was going to happen, 2:29pm, Bjørg was informed Luk's death sentence could be put on hold. We say this is psychological police violence. There is no proof Luk bit anyone, but he has now been in a police kennel for almost two years. The person who reported Luk and his owner to the police, got a scratch when she fell, after her dog attached Luk. All we know is that she needed to submit a police report in order to get insurance money for her ripped designer clothes after this meeting. This case is a gruesome example of how the system fails when dogs and their owners are not protected by a just law. Norway need a new Dog Law NOW! Please sign and share.
