The Change.org petition is still up despite multiple takedown requests! We've had one member of the Mountaineers Leadership reach out to tell us we're committing libel. 

Criminal convictions for sexual and domestic violence crimes are publicly viewable by county, and Registered Sex Offenders are required to provide their locations. We've inquired for advice on working through the redactions, reached out to our lawyers, and found advocates to help us communicate to parole officers. 

Attacking survivors for speaking out is never the solution. The solution is:

- Better vetting for new members

- Better resources and support for those who speak up

- Higher standards for instructors 

We appreciate the members of the Mountaineers who have reached out. We want you to confidently attend events knowing they are free of Sex Offenders. We want your safety. This is for you!
