Hello everyone,

Now with the most recent news of a fragile ceasefire deal being agreed to & put in place, I have decided to temporarily change our goals / demands until further notice on how things are doing.

An 'International Stabilisation Force' for Gaza has been proposed. Irish politician Barry Andrews has called for Ireland to prepare peacekeepers to be deployed as part of that initiative.

"The Irish Defence Forces have a proud record of peacekeeping around the world and can play an important part in helping to stabilise Gaza." he says in a social media post.

I believe it's important that we seize this opportunity, to play a real part in ensuing the protection of Palestinian civilians if they wish to have us present.

It's important to remember that this isn't over, and we cannot stop applying pressure on our governments to do the right thing.

I have laid out email templates ( here, here & here ) to urge the Irish government to take more actions for Palestine. Hopefully there wont be much need for them going forward.

One can pray that this deal will go smoothly, and lead to the full liberation of Palestine,

-Holly xx
