Hello everyone !! I'm sure you're very, very relieved to hear this morning's news – we are finally expecting a ceasefire in Gaza. 

However, this isn't over, we cannot become distracted.

Keep eyes on Gaza.

As reported by various news agencies ( here, here & here ), israel has bombarded Gaza, and at least 29 people have been murdered since this morning. The brutality has yet to end.

Keep eyes on Palestinian hostages.

Over 10,000 Palestinians are being held in israeli custody at the moment. Some data from earlier this year shows that 3,498 people are being held without charge or trial. 

This also includes 400 children, 27 women and 299 people serving a life sentence. There is extensive evidence of detainees undergoing physical & psychological torture in israeli custody.

Keep eyes on the West Bank.

Yesterday, a young man named Jihad Mohammed Ajaj, aged 26, was murdered by israeli settlers in Ramallah, the West Bank.

Palestinians continue to be terrorized – shot, detained, raided, and robbed every day.

Keep eyes on Palestine.  

We cannot stop now, don't divert your eyes. Peacekeepers must be deployed to Gaza immediately, to ensure that this ceasefire agreement is upheld. 

We need to continue the pressure on Ireland, the EU, and the UN to put together a peacekeeping mission as soon as possible.
