Demand the Immediate Suspension of CISD Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz

The Issue

On November 6th, 2024, Dr. Pedro Galaviz completed the purchase of The Johnny Bean horse farm, which was priced at $6.2M without any authorization or Board of Trustee approval! He did this with Bond money from the recently passed bond, spending our hard earned tax dollars without any oversight or authority. On December 17th, Dr Galaviz is planning to put a motion before the Board to cover this up. Please sign this petition demanding the immediate suspension of Dr Galaviz from his position as CISD Superintendent until a full investigation can be done.

Important dates to note:

Dan Olivas, the facilitating realtor for the property purchased donated $500 to board president Armando Rodriguez's campaign.

November 5th Board President Was Re-Elected

November 6th the day after the election the Johnny Bean Horse Farm appears to have been purchased by Pedro Galaviz.

The board meeting minutes on June 10th  and July 23, 2024  state that letters of intent will be sent to see which of those sites are available and they authorize PROCEDEO and CBRE to continue with negotiations of preferred sites if they reach a price point they want to recommend to the board.

A contract is only valid if presented and approved to the board. The land acquisition for these properties were NOT brought before the board for final approval.

Superintendent Pedro Galaviz, and possibly other parties, purchased the Johnny Bean Horse Farm Land at 6201 Strahan Drive, El Paso Texas for $6.2 million. The only parties authorized to negotiate land acquisition from bond funds were Pedro Galaviz, Administration, Board President Armando Rodriguez, Procedeo Group which is a Bond Management Company and CBRE.

CISD Paid Procedeo millions to be our bond management company. This alleged "oversight" went through multiple parties.
