update: as of the time i’m making this, based off a ig post by pfa.offical- the boys have been arrested. Regardless, please sign this petition so we can urge india’s enforcement to punish them to the fullest extent of the law and also so they cant make bail.

I am utterly appalled and devistated to have seen a post displaying  four indian men mercilessly beating a pregant dog to death and having taken it all on video, proud of their vile behavior. They know they can get away with what they’ve done and in a lot of ways they can. And that NEEDS TO CHANGE. 

Before i get into the rest, i want to say the obvious- this is horrific and extremely triggering/ upsetting. i don’t go into great detail about what happens but if you are at all moved to tears by just reading the caption of the orginal post or reading this-pls cry, scream and wail. for her and her babies. in the deepest part of your soul mourn her and her unborn babies. mourn the life she could have had if wasn’t so viciously taken from her. don’t cut yourself off from feeling this tragedy. 

Currently there is no punishment or prison time for animal cruelty in India, the only act on the record is the PCA,  Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act of 1960. Yeah-1960!! The cruelty penalty under PCA is not even equivalent to $1USD. I urge you, after signing this petition to DM the prime minister of India on Instagram and every other social media platform to amend the PCA and make it so animal cruelty is a PUNISHABLE CRIME. Put public pressure on him consistently. ITS GONNA TAKE TIME BUT ITS UNBELIEVABLY WORTH IT. here’s his username on ig: @narendramodi

Luckily, there are animal activists fighting against the speacisim in India and apathetic social climate surrounding animals. i urge you to follow them and support them finically if you can. @animalhopeandwellness and @awcs.2020 posted the video, i will link the post at the end ⚠️ the biggest trigger warning i could ever put for animal cruelty im putting now-i couldnt watch it so don’t feel obligated to. Regardless, be sure to follow them

While your at it please follow @streetdogsofbombay as well on instagram, they post about dogs in need of adoption and about animals cruelty going on in India. 

Next thing i urge you to do is contact Don Bosco Institute from which the boys are from via email, instagram and phone (i tried calling but my call didn’t go through-i’m from the U.S for refrence but still pls try anyway.) PUT PRESSURE ON THEM TO EXPELL THESE STUDENTS-it happened ON THE INSTITUTES CAMPUS.

Those that attend your school must be expelled immediately and every single last one of those disgusting humans should be sent to jail-animal cruelty isn’t a punishable crime in India even though it should be-so please do whatever you can to hold them accountable. The murder happened on your campus which leads me to believe you are completely okay with animal cruelty. 
Hi my name is Eva Sage Ramos  and i am from **. I witnessed a video via the Animal Hope and Wellness page that showed several students beating a defenseless pregnant dog to death. That cruelty, that inhumane act-needs to not go unpunished. They are dangerous and cruel. If they are willing to torture an innocent creature that wasn’t doing them any harm, then what is keeping them from doing that to a human? Animal cruelty leads to cruelty aganist humans. This is a result of india allowing the systemic abuse of animals to go unnoticed and this henius act CAN NOT GO UNPUNSIHED. You can make a difference by expelling them, ruining their reputations and encouraging law inforcement around you to send them to jail so that they can never hurt any animals again, if you do nothing you are essentially saying you endorse the abuse of animals.

All of these men are showing underlying psychopathic tendencies as they seem to be enjoying taking part in this abuse and there is no remorse evident. These people need to be held acountable and punished for this evil act. To be a tolerant society means you must be intolerant of cruelty. Please-if you care about animals and the safety of your students at all- EXPELL THEM AND PROTEST FOR THE PCA ACT of 1960 TO BE AMENDED. Thank you for your time.

We are all socially conditiond to think this thanks to colonization, so be easy on yourself but continue to use your voice to advocate for them and unlearn your own bigotry!! 
• MOST IMPORTANTLY: STAY CONSITENT. change is not gonna happen over night, if you’ve don’t everything on this list THANK YOU but please don’t stop just there. this is only the beginning of a long battle for animal rights. Continue to put the pressure on the prime minister, the university, the law enforcement, MONTHS from now. They want to wait us out and they will, which is why we can’t stop!! 

My closing stament,

we can’t bring her back, we can’t undo her last moments of complete pain and trauma. But we can demand justice, demand that her murders be held accountable, demand the government regulate and punish these vile acts of animal cruelty, and we can demand of ourselves a deeper sense of compassion and empathy for all of the animals around us and the courage to stick up for them earnestly and consistently. We must continue to fight for animal’s rights, for thier sovereignty and for their future-a brighter and safer one.  

if you made it this far please take care of yourself, don’t let yourself become desensitized to this violence and cruelty because it’s not normal, it’s not okay, it can be regulated and we can do something to prevent it and stop it.

The dog, of whom  i don’t know the name of, was not able to rest in peace  so may we not rest until her and her babies get the justice they so rightfully deserve
