As a devout Lakers fan since a tender age of four, I am witnessing the degradation of a franchise loved by many. Our general manager, Robert Todd Pelinka, Jr., seems to be diminishing the vigor and brilliance our team once held. The feeble attempts and lack of persistence in pursuing crucial trades and free agents have not gone unnoticed. This directly dishonors loyal fans, our star players, and impinges on the history and integrity of the Lakers franchise.

Since February of 2023, the Lakers have not made any notable player acquisitions, a clear reflection of Pelinka's inefficiencies. We, the fans, deserve better, as do our talented star players. We deserve a management that respects, celebrates, and invests in the team we hold dear.

The love we have for the Lakers is strong but it is not blind. We demand a change, a return to the days of proactive management, days that honored the legacy of the Lakers. Days, when the management valued the fans just as much as the players, acknowledging that we are the backbone of this franchise.

It is high time for the Lakers to have a diligent General Manager, one who can demonstrate the same level of passion and vigor for success that we, the fans, and the players exhibit every season.
