As a concerned mother and resident of the Burnaby North Seymour federal riding, I feel compelled to stand up for the values that my community holds dear, particularly those that affect my family and friends. I write with an urgent plea to fellow residents and concerned citizens across our country. The Conservative Party of Canada is considering Mauro Francis as a candidate for nomination in our riding. Alarmingly, Mr. Francis' affiliations have raised red flags across our community – he has been endorsed by and has associated himself with far-right extremist figures. One such individual is Angelo Isidorou, a person tainted with accusations of racism, Islamophobia, and white supremacy.

Isidorou's troubling past is not unknown. There exists a comprehensive seven-page document, referred to as "Angelo Isidorou's extremism file", detailing his questionable conduct; this includes allegations of his role as a founder of The People's Party of Canada (PPC) and instances of making tacit white power signals while wearing a MAGA hat. 

This association between Mauro Francis and a known (alleged) fascist is nothing short of distressing and poses a direct threat to the diverse and inclusive fabric of our community. This is not the leadership that our community deserves. No potential candidate or Member of Parliament should espouse, directly or indirectly, such divisive ideologies.

We must ensure that the Conservative Party of Canada is cognizant of these serious concerns. It's crucial that our political landscape remains free from figures with harmful extremist ties. Therefore, we call upon the Conservative Party to disqualify Mauro Francis as a candidate for nomination in Burnaby North Seymour.
