Furthermore, this business operates without the assurance of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums certification, a predominant authority in ensuring the wellbeing of animals in such places.

This facility also provides touch-pools, which can be detrimental to the animals' health & overall well-being. 

The frequency and lack of action against such incidents indicate a fundamental issue in the business's practices where profit is seemingly placed before the lives and dignity of these animals. This should not, and cannot, stand in our community. We urge local authorities in West Des Moines, IA, to step in and take necessary action against the reported neglect. This facility needs to be held accountable for its shocking actions.
