Cars traveling down Maple Street have created an unsafe environment for students, pedestrians, bikers, older people, and people with disabilities. This is especially obvious at the Maple Street curve at the intersection with Lowell Street. This busy section of our neighborhood is home to Central High School and has many small businesses that serve our community. 

We are asking you to help us advocate for an on-demand pedestrian activated crossing sign at the cross walk by signing this petition to be presented to the Board of Alderman and the Mayor. 

We believe that it is the city's responsibility to use the tax money that we have paid to make the streets around our schools, homes, and businesses safer. We believe that the center city neighborhoods should not ignored.
