Demand the City of Houston to Improve Road Maintenance on Aldine Westfield

Demand the City of Houston to Improve Road Maintenance on Aldine Westfield
The Issue
I live in the area of Aldine Westfield, North of Little York rd. and South of Beltway 8, in Houston, Texas. Every day, I travel this road and witness its deplorable condition. The negligence from the City of Houston regarding road maintenance has led to a personal incident where I was rear-ended due to poor road conditions.
Aldine Westfield is not just a pathway for me but also for thousands who commute daily. The lack of proper maintenance is not only causing inconvenience but also posing serious safety concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), poor road conditions contribute significantly to traffic crashes across America each year.
The City of Houston needs to be held accountable for its negligence towards this issue that affects so many lives daily. We urge them to prioritize and expedite the necessary repairs on Aldine Westfield North of Little York rd., and South of Beltway 8.
The City of Houston denies responsibility for the road maintenance of this section of Aldine Westfield when you call Houston 311 to report potholes. This is false and shows their own ignorance. I have done my due process and proven otherwise. They claim that it's unincorporated Harris county. That's true for addresses in this area, but the road however is City of Houston. As a proof of concept, go to Google Maps and type Houston, then zoom in on Aldine Westfield North of Little York rd., and South of Beltway 8. The red dashed line shows the Right of Way (double the road width so it encompasses ditches as well) falls in City of Houston Limits.
Let's stand together as a community and demand safer roads in our neighborhood! Sign this petition today!
Please do not donate to this petition! I've spoken with several organizations about outreach, as well as I will be out on my free time at major locations near by asking for signatures. We as a community can get this moving without using our hard earned money. I'd much rather this be shared on social media.
