Fraud & Cover Up continues CPSC claims ionization alarms do no pose a risk of harm

The message below was sent to the Saferproducts.gov and reviewed by CSPC Staff and to my disbelief deemed as not showing risk of harm. The fraud and cover up continues. Plan B is now in effect and message below was pasted on CPSC Facebook page and other burn victim facebook pages and sent to Campaign For Accountability and will be sent to other Government watchdog groups today and submitted to 60 Minutes and 20/20 for their consideration in hopes they will do a story about this fraud and cover up.
To All Concerned
My name is Dennis Fox founder of www.smokealarmsafety.org which I established soon after finding out about the dangers of ionization alarms in late 2015 when I stumbled upon a blog on the NFPA website posted by a former fire fighter and founder of www.thewfsf.org located in Australia who warned people that ionization alarms do not activate in time to wake occupants up to escape safely due to the fact ionization alarms will not detect low temperature smoldering smoke conditions. I soon learned this ionization alarm consumer fraud was exposed by a Fire Protection Engineer Richard Patton in 1976 who realized that the Government test known as the Dunes test was rigged by UL technicians in mid 1970's who originally did not use any smoldering material in the smoldering smoke test in order to grant approval for sale of these devices in U.S.and continued to do so despite many smoke inhalation deaths and burn injuries with some lawsuits which were all settled out of court and the fact there was better photoelectric technology that activated far more quickly to smoldering smoke conditions and heat detectors that performed much more efficiently. In one of the lawsuits settled in 2000 Mercer vs. Pitway/BRK (First Alert) http://www.thewfsf.org/mercercase.html , here is what the Judge hearing the case had to say in his final statements “A smoke detector that sounds approximately nineteen minutes after smoke reached its sensing chamber is like an airbag that does not deploy until nineteen minutes after a car accident.” -Judge David E. Schoenthaler, Another case in 2010 Hosford Vs. BRK, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. http://www.thewfsf.org/ulsued.html , included the UL for not disclosing the dangers of ionization alarms. Other lawsuits can be viewed under Legal at www.http://www.thewfsf.org/sitemap.html
Having majored in fire science and worked as a sales rep and sales manager for Protection One and ADT and sold photoelectric / heat alarms as an add on to burglar alarms I had never heard of an ionization alarm before and like most consumers assumed all smoke alarms would alert occupants in time to wake up people to escape safely and call the fire department. I urge you to see the news video and info on www.smokealarmsafety.org and the current petition http://chng.it/vvNPCzgZS8 demanding the CPSC ban and recall these dangerous ionization alarms despite the new UL smoldering smoke 217 test standard which will start using polyurethane foam cushions in the new test on May 29th of this year. Without a ban and recall those who have bought ionization alarms within in the last 1 to 10 years which is the majority of homeowners due to the lower cost and no warning label, will still be at risk of death and injury until the batteries expire and could still buy ionization alarms online without knowing the dangers of ionization alarms or that there is a new test standard and will no longer be sold at retail outlets in U.S. once these devices do not pass the new smoldering smoke test in May. It has already been over 4 years due to UL extending the time frame of new test since the new test standard was voted in and the death and burn injury toll continues to add up daily with an estimated 1/3 of all fire deaths being contributed to the use of ionization alarms according to Boston Deputy Fire Chief Jay Fleming who was one of the 31 people who voted new UL 217 test standard in. Other Fire Chiefs have estimated as many as 50% of all fire deaths are due to use of ionization alarms and Richard Patton who exposed this consumer fraud in 1976 estimates over 300,000 deaths and burn injuries have been sustained over the last 50 years as a result of these faulty alarms.
One of the people who signed the current petition and made a comment is Dean Dennis whose family lost their daughter along with 4 of her school mates in a dorm fire in Ohio. He had posted a petition in late 2015 which led to the presentation to CPSC Chairman Mr. Kaye and other CPSC Board Members in 2016 which Mr. Dennis revealed the current UL test standard was flawed and as a result many deaths due to smoke inhalation have occurred. He strongly suggested a ban and recall and at the very least a warning label become mandatory on the front of ionization packaging of which neither took place. What took place was a vote in September 2016 whether or not polyurethane foam cushions should be added to the 217 smoldering smoke test which the 5 main smoke alarm manufactures voted no on but were out voted 31 to 5 by the Fire Chiefs and Fire Protection Engineers involved. Mr. Dennis informed me about this vote soon after his presentation and I learned it would give manufactures 3 years before new test standard took effect so they could develop an alarm that would pass which also added another 3 years of selling ionization alarms which they knew resulted in death and injuries having been sued as a result. I wrote Mr. Kaye expressing my concerns that without a ban and recall more lives will be lost and burn injuries sustained without a ban and recall. I never received a reply from Mr. Kaye and when the CPSC was quick to recall 29 million fitness trackers in Aug. 2016 given away by McDonald's with a purchase of a Happy Meal due to minor skin irritations and or minor burn injuries on users wrist due to the batteries over heating, I again wrote to Mr. Kaye expressing my concerns and disbelief how it is a recall of these fitness trackers could take place within a week with only minor skin injuries, yet with a multitude of actual deaths and severe burn injuries which was revealed to him in the presentation by Mr. Dennis about the dangers of ionization alarms, no ban and recall ever took place nor a mandatory warning label since this consumer fraud was uncovered in 1976.
I have submitted this message to the Inspector General Mr. Dentel and SaferProducts.gov department and will be submitting the current petition and comments to Mr. Kaye, Mr. Feldman , UL Board Members and their Safety Officials as well. Should I not receive a direct response addressing this issue as was the case in 2016, I will be sending the petition and comments and a copy of this message to Consumer Watch Dog groups, 60 Minutes and 20/20 and major news journals in order to warn as many consumers as possible about this gross negligence and negligent homicide that continues to take place by the very public safety agencies whose duty of care it is to protect the public consumers from these dangerous devices. I sincerely hope immediate action is taken by the CPSC to ban and recall these dangerous ionization alarms that will continue to place 100's of millions of lives at risk in U.S. alone and cause many more smoke inhalation deaths and burn injuries for another 10+ years.
Regretfully
