Increasingly we have been given recognition by the English, that we are a nation and we are an ethnicity. In 2014 was when the government gave formal and official recognition. But 1 census later, and we have not got a checkbox for the Cornish ethnicity in the census. Despite in the 2021 census, 117 thousand people put Cornish as their ethnicity. More than enough to justify a checkbox. 

Increasingly in recent times, we have demanded more in recognition both on the street and in local government. This should be one of them, as one of the 6 nations as we present ourselves as, we need to fight tooth and nail for every little thing about our identity and our beautiful nation of Kernow. But it seems there is a reaction from Westminster in increasing ignorance more so than already present. 

This is why I had to make the petition here. For St Pirans day, because the government took too long to approve of the petition on their site.
