The entire LGBTQ+ community MUST IMPLORE Walgreens CEO Rosalind Brewer to CEASE ANY & ALL donations to political candidates who support anti-LGBTQ+ legislature that is sweeping across the country. The LGBTQ+ community is under attack in numerous states, with legislature that seeks to harm us and deprive us of our human rights. Ron DeSantis and his clear anti-LGBTQ+ stance pose a direct threat to not only Florida, but the entire country. The dangerous group of politicians behind the bill that has become known as “Don’t Say Gay”, are emboldened by corporate donations and GOP support. As more and more of these bills creep and crawl into the light, the community is gripped with fear and uncertainty. As marginalized people, we rely on large companies to speak out and stand up for us.. unfortunately these same companies that wave the Pride Flag during the month of June, have revealed themselves to be the same companies donating money to these very same anti-LGBTQ+ politicians. Among these companies sits Walgreens, with donations amounting to nearly $30,000 towards the offices/campaigns of Ron DeSantis and other supporters of the bill in Florida. Walgreens has expressed their support for the LGBTQ+ community and maintained a longtime partnership with the Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia (a clinic which serves a majority LGBTQ+ patients). There is a clear disconnect happening here, between what Walgreens says they stand for, and where they have decided to put their fiscal contributions. 
We will not give our money to a company who does not value the safety or humanity of the people who it serves. We should not have to wonder if we are safe walking into a Walgreens pharmacy, let alone receiving our crucial life-sustaining & gender-affirming medications. We will not tolerate a company waving our flag around for queer clout, just to turn around and pose a DANGER to the LGBTQ+ youth of our country! Sign this petition to let Walgreens CEO Rosalind Brewer know that the LGBTQ+ community demands more thoughtful and righteous fiscal contributions from Walgreens, and to STOP the ruse and cease using OUR Pride flag during June to pretend Walgreens is on our side! We demand a statement of condemnation of the dangerous bills sweeping the country, INCLUDING the one that was signed in Florida by the very politicians Walgreens has donated money towards. We demand an apology for the harm that has been perpetrated to the progress of our community thanks to their fiscal contributions to the GOP.
