Breast cancer screening experts are ringing alarm bells but is anyone listening? It is estimated that in 2020, 27,000 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5100 women will die. This is a tragedy and what compounds that tragedy is that we are not acting effectively to find cancer early. We have the tools and the means, but yet we are still not acting. The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care's recommendations put lives at risk. The recommendations were made by a panel that included a chiropractor, psychologist, nephrologist and occupational therapist. There were no breast cancer experts on the panel.
